Florida woman charged with manslaughter after injecting a woman with harmful chemicals.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A South Florida woman is facing manslaughter charges for botching a butt plumping procedure. Police believe Oneal Ron Morris, a transgender woman, caused the death of a client by injecting her with harmful chemicals like Fix-a-flat and superglue.<\/p>\n

The victim\u2019s story<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office, Shatarka Nuby died in March from what a medical examiner called \u201cmassive systemic silicone migration.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Shatarka Nuby would pay a transvestite she knew as Dutchess up to hundreds of dollars to come to her house and inject her buttocks, hips, thighs and breasts with an unknown substance. Then Dutchess, sometimes wearing medical scrubs and a stethoscope, would seal the injection sites with super glue and cotton balls,” the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “Investigators determined that Morris injected substances such as bathroom caulk, cement, Super Glue, Fix-A-Flat and mineral oil into the bodies of his victims,” sheriff’s office told NBC Miami<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Morris has a history<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to police, Morris has been charged with performing cosmetic procedures without a license before. The state health department has received letters from other clients suffering complications after seeing Morris. At present, the health department believes Nuby is the only one whose complications resulted in death.<\/p>\n

Police say Morris could face additional charges for making other women sick. Police are still looking into those cases.<\/p>\n

“Many of these cases are still under investigation, and unfortunately several victims are not out of the woods medically. They’re still having medical complications and they are very sick,” the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

Police say a growing number of spas and clinics are offering cosmetic procedures like Botox and \u201cless invasive\u201d procedures like liposuction. Any cosmetic procedure should be done by a licensed doctor with a solid reputation and good standing with the state medical board.<\/p>\n
