Erectile dysfunction (ED)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Erectile dysfunction can be caused by a wide variety of reasons: smoking, emotional conflict, illness, lack of intimacy, too much alcohol, anxiety, depression, stress or prostate surgery, among others.<\/p>\n

Erectile dysfunction occurs in both young and older men, with the Huffington Post<\/em> citing that ED occurs in up to 15% of men at age 70, and 5% of men at age 40.<\/p>\n

The Fix: The good news is, there are some amazing erectile dysfunction drugs that have been approved by the FDA and work for most men with ED. Viagra can all be obtained with a prescription from your doctor.<\/p>\n

Lack of sensitivity<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s common for men to see testosterone drop as they age. But as it decreases, there can also be a decrease in the sensitivity of the penis. This can keep your erection from being as hard as usual and can make it difficult to reach orgasm.<\/p>\n

The Fix: Just as muscles atrophy if you don\u2019t use them, your penis needs daily erections to keep your arteries in shape and bring blood in for an erection. You don\u2019t need to orgasm every time, but when it comes to erections, use it or lose it!<\/p>\n

Urinary problems<\/strong><\/p>\n

As men age, it\u2019s common to see problems with either being unable to urinate or being unable to hold urine flow. This is typically due to issues with the prostate.<\/p>\n

To prevent prostate issues (or nip them in the bud early), do moderate exercise several times a week, maintain a healthy weight, avoid sitting for long periods of time (especially on bicycles), limit your alcohol intake, do Kegels and get regular check-ups.
