The Viagra black-market in Pakistan<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to NY Daily News, suppliers of black-market Viagra sold in Pakistan are using the likeness of President of Obama on its packaging. (Check out the product pictures here<\/a>.) One package shows a James Bond-like image of Obama holding a gun. The imitation pills, which don’t look like Viagra at all, can be purchased for 25 cents in the northwestern area of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The Viagra black-market in the U.S.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the U.S., the counterfeit pills look almost identical to the real thing. Even health experts have a tough time telling the difference between a real pill and a fake one because so much care is taken in perfecting the look of the popular medication.<\/p>\n

A lot of these medications are sold online through fly-by-night websites. Manufacturing plants are often in third world countries and are constantly opening and closing, making it hard for officials to track them down.<\/p>\n

On top of these problems, health experts have tested the fake pills and found harmful chemicals. Everything from dry wall to printer ink has been found in fake Viagra pills.<\/p>\n

Protect yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n

Viagra requires a prescription, so if you stumble across a site that lets you get the drug without one, it should raise a red flag. Buy medications through trusted sources that have customer service teams, medical staff and a street address in the U.S. If you find Viagra “for a steal” it’s fake.
