Did you know there\u2019s a new product that adds an SPF to your clothes? It\u2019s true. You simply toss this product in with your laundry and once your clothes are washed and dried they\u2019ll block up to 96 percent of the sun\u2019s rays.<\/p>\n

New sunscreen labels<\/strong><\/p>\n

The FDA recently forced all sunscreen makers to change their labels. The idea behind the change was to make it easier for consumers to understand just how much protection they\u2019re getting. The best sunscreen is now labeled “broad spectrum” and should have an SPF of at least 30.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re drinking, apply more sunscreen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who doesn\u2019t love a fruity cocktail during the summer? If you\u2019re indulging in a beverage, you\u2019ll need to apply additional sunscreen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you’re drinking a significant amount of sugar or alcohol, you are causing inflammation in your skin and you will release more free radicals,\u201d Skin Care Expert Risi-Leanne Baranja told Woman\u2019s Day<\/a>. \u201cThen the sunlight suppresses your immune system. Therefore, it’s important to add more sunscreen in these situations to combat it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apply sunscreen every two hours for the best protection, more frequently if you’re in and out of the water.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Don\u2019t leave sunscreen in the car<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve left your sunscreen in the car, the heat will likely make it less effective. Keep it in your purse of beach bag, that way it\u2019ll always come with you.
