Study after study has shown the benefits of erectile dysfunction<\/a> drugs. The lifestyle medications have become a hot commodity for men, but for the first time, a researcher wanted to know what women thought. A recent study asked women which ED med they preferred their partner to take.<\/p>\n

What Women Really Want<\/h3>\n

A Canadian study asks a group of more than 2,800 men and women to take part in what researchers call a \u2018real-world study.\u2019\u00a0 They wanted to find out which drug Viagra<\/a> or Cialis was preferred by couples.<\/p>\n

All of the men in the study were currently taking an erectile dysfunction drug.\u00a0 Researchers then asked the group to switch medications. If they were taking Viagra they switched to Cialis and vice versa.\u00a0 Questionnaires were filled out by the couple while the man was taking Viagra<\/a>\u00a0and while taking Cialis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It turns out couples prefer Cialis.\u00a0Both patients and their partners said Cialis had a more positive effect on their sex life than Viagra.\u00a0Up to 70% of the men picked Cialis, and up to 75% of their partners chose it.<\/p>\n

So, what makes Cialis the winner in this study?\u00a0 According to questionnaires filled out by participants, Cialis gives a couple a longer window of time to have sex.\u00a0 Cialis can last for 36 hours.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t mean a man has an erection for that long, but if a man is aroused anytime in those 36 hours the drug is effective.<\/p>\n

Viagra, on the other hand, only lasts for four hours.\u00a0 Once that time frame expires another pill can\u2019t be taken for at least 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Another Interesting Finding<\/h3>\n

Researchers also found out that about 75% of men do talk to their partner about taking an erectile dysfunction drug, but few couples actually go to the doctors together.\u00a0Just 12% of couples had an open conversation with their doctor about the options that could enhance their lovemaking.<\/p>\n

Researchers hope this study will change that, encouraging more couples to take charge of this once-taboo issue together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
