What are some warning signs that things really aren\u2019t okay at all and we should be strongly thinking about seeking help? It\u2019s not always as easy as one might think it would be to pick out crazy. Here are a few ways to know that the white jacket is just around the corner for you or a friend. After all, crazy just means you are in need of some help or guidance. We are all crazy.<\/p>\n

The Rut<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe you were laid off last year and everything around you crumpled. It happens and we probably make some irrational but completely normal decisions after the horrible event takes place. There isn\u2019t anything wrong with lashing out or crashing for a bit. It\u2019s just when it becomes every day life that it could be a sign you need help. If you find you go to the bar every day at 4pm and don\u2019t leave until close and have done this since being laid off, that\u2019s your sign. If you find that you can\u2019t leave the house or that you cannot handle being around your friends, that\u2019s also your sign. Any type of unhealthy rut that you cannot seem to shake is a sign you need help. Try talking to a friend or family member for suggestions.<\/p>\n

Your Own Reality<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bad things happen to everyone. Everyone deals with these bad things differently. Building your own little universe where these bad things have not happened or will never happen is not healthy. Not being in reality even if the pain is great is really not healthy and can lead to significant mental and mood disorders. It is important that you talk to someone if you are having trouble keeping yourself attached to reality. Sometimes with shock it is necessary for us to stay numb for a while during the time of acceptance.<\/p>\n

Saying Yes to Everything<\/strong><\/p>\n

Impulsive behavior<\/a> is sometimes okay and just a way of us cutting loose and feeling free. Other times it is a sign of extreme distress and lack of\"crazy, concern for your own wellbeing. If you find yourself compulsively drinking, gambling, having sex or anything else you find out of the norm and compulsive, let someone know you are worried you\u2019re making the wrong choices. If you once had a quiet life with your family and now find yourself popping constant Viagra<\/a> to keep yourself strong, even though your mind and body don\u2019t want to cooperate then obviously you have a problem.
