You know by now how horrible it is to smoke. It will destroy every aspect of your health piece by piece, cigarette by cigarette. It will cause coughing, more frequent sicknesses, heart palpitations and general not so wellbeing. It smells terrible, looks stupid and pollutes the earth and everyone around you. I say this as a past smoker and the daughter of someone with stage four lung cancer.<\/p>\n
It Makes You Look Low Class<\/strong><\/p>\n Not only does smoking cost a lot, make you stand outside in the cold, create nasty yellow nails but it also makes you look incredibly low class. <\/p>\n I don\u2019t mean to blatantly offend by saying this but picture the lady in the trailer park sitting in a recliner outside of her trailer sipping Natural Light beer, scratching her oily bleach blond hair with the 3 inch brown roots while yelling dramatically into her old, sad Nokia cell phone all the while chain smoking Kools. <\/p>\n Yeah, you get the picture right? She looks like trash. That\u2019s how you look when you smoke. Maybe you don\u2019t have a recliner outside of your trailer but you do have the ability to go down that not so classy road. Look at all the cool kids now. They\u2019re straight edge vegan hipsters riding scooters and listening to Indie music people have never even heard of. They don\u2019t smoke. You are not the cool kid.<\/p>\n You Smell Bad All the Time<\/strong><\/p>\n The mint you just ate after chain smoking 3 cigarettes on your lunch break while talking to your boyfriend on the phone isn\u2019t going to help the way your breathe smells. Your hands, cell phone, hair, and basically every pore on your body reek of cigarette smoke. It is truly repulsive to a nonsmoker. Even if you just went one day without smoking you would see the absolutely vile way that you smell. You smell like death. Your clothes smell like that, your pillow smells, your breath is always bad even when you think it\u2019s not. These are just a few things I\u2019ve noticed.<\/p>\n You Look Awful<\/strong> Ever noticed the bags and dark circles under your eyes over the pasty flat coloring of your face? You look bad. Tobacco and the tons of chemicals in each cigarette will ruin your skin. You will prematurely get wrinkles that will be with you to your end. You will look like a skin supermodel compared to what you look like now after just a week of not smoking. Your hair will be shinier and your teeth whiter. Your nails won\u2019t be brittle and yellow anymore. Your cat will want you to pet him since your hand won\u2019t be stained yellow with a dirty ashtray smell firmly etched into your skin. Give it a chance. Smoking sucks and will kill you. It\u2019s not glamorous to have lung cancer. You don\u2019t have to smoke for your whole life either. My Dad has not smoked for over 25 years and only smoked for a handful and that was all it took. Wake up.
