\"ATwo young California girls ate more than chocolate chips when they bit into a cookie that was left in a plastic baggie on their kitchen counter. Veronica Sylvester accidentally left the cookie where her children, aged 10 and 11, could find it.<\/p>\n

Within several hours, the girls were in the hospital complaining of numbness throughout their bodies. They also had pale and clammy skin, according to a police lieutenant in Covina, Calif. Toxicology tests confirmed the presence of marijuana in the girls.<\/p>\n

Sylvester was booked into jail on suspicion of child endangerment, and the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported that she was still being held on $100,000 bail on Wednesday. Child protective services is investigating the case.<\/p>\n

\"MarijuanaSylvester, 33, told authorities that she received the cookie from a friend, and planned to use it for medical purposes. It was unclear if Sylvester would be charged with illegal use of marijuana, as she did not have a prescription.

Another brand of marijuana cola is about to hit the market within a few weeks, in Colorado. The new pot soda is called Canna Cola, and it will be made available in medical marijuana dispensaries throughout the state.<\/p>\n

TIME and the Santa Cruz Sentinel report that the soda will come in a variety of flavors for the finicky pot drinker. These include the regular cola flavor of Canna Cola, Doc Weed (which tastes like Dr. Pepper), Sour Diesel (lemon-lime) and the obviously flavored Grape Ape and Orange Kush.<\/p>\n

\"CannaCanna Cola is made in Soquel, Calif. It will be marketed heavily, according to company owner Clay Butler, who hopes to introduce his products in his home state this spring.<\/p>\n

Butler\u2019s colas will retail for roughly about $10 to $15 apiece, but they won\u2019t pack the punch of some pot colas already available. Canna Cola contains only 35 to 65 milligrams of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. Therefore, Canna Cola is the \u201clight beer\u201d of marijuana sodas. Still, it promises to provide \u201cless feeling\u201d and taste great.<\/p>\n
