And now that the internet gives us access to statistics about even the most personal parts of our lives, men can add frequency to their list of sexual worries. <\/p>\n

Are they having as much sex as the average American couple?<\/p>\n

And the survey says \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to a 40-year study published in the Society for Personality and Social Psychology,<\/em> that average frequency is once a week for established couples. The study surveyed more than 30,000 Americans and found that, although it does not necessarily cause and effect, couples that had sex once a week was the happiest. <\/p>\n

In other words, they may be having sex because they\u2019re happy, not the other way around, but researchers didn\u2019t study the \u201cwhy\u201d behind the statistic.<\/p>\n

Reasons for not having sex<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are lots of reasons that happily married couples don\u2019t have sex. For some, they\u2019re too tired or work conflicting hours. For others, erectile dysfunction or other issues take sex off the table.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not to say that erectile dysfunction HAS to take sex out of the equation. Some men may not know that erectile dysfunction drugs, such as Viagra, Cialis or Levitra, can help. <\/p>\n

Others may be too embarrassed to talk to their doctor about erectile dysfunction.<\/p>\n

Some men may assume that since supplements that claim to cure erectile dysfunction haven\u2019t fixed their erectile dysfunction, there\u2019s no hope. <\/p>\n

The truth is, Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are viable options for most men with erectile dysfunction.<\/p>\n

Technology may be ruining our sex lives<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perhaps one of the biggest causes of decreased sex among married couples is the increased use of technology. From smartphones and tablets to laptops and TV, we\u2019re addicted to staying plugged in.<\/p>\n
