What’s The Big Deal?<\/h3>\n

A dietary supplement called Viotren is being sold as a treatment for erectile dysfunction with the promise that it restores testosterone levels in 72 hours and improves circulation. But there\u2019s a lot of questionable information (or lack of information) on the product, which has no evidence to back up the claims, is sold with a promise of \u201ctwice your money back\u201d for anyone who\u2019s not satisfied, and pushes buyers to \u201cact now\u201d before the discount runs out.<\/p>\n

Aside from being sketchy in terms of unfulfilled promises, there\u2019s a bigger concern: safety. Even if Viotren or some of the other \u201cED supplements\u201d really do give you an erection, it could be due to one or more of the undeclared ingredients.<\/p>\n

The FDA has a list of nearly 300 products claiming to enhance sex or treat erectile dysfunction that actually do have some the active ingredients found in the prescription ED drugs like Cialis. Even men who aren\u2019t on other medications could run into problems, seeing as the FDA found one product that contained 31 times the prescription dose of tadalfil (the generic name for Cialis).<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for an erectile dysfunction medicine, talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. Dietary \u201cED\u201d supplements sold at your local convenience story are neither effective nor safe.<\/p>\n
