Truth<\/strong>: Herbal remedies are appealing because some men want to avoid having an embarrassing conversation with their doctor. However, herbal remedies aren\u2019t as safe as prescription drugs.<\/p>\n

The FDA doesn\u2019t monitor herbal remedies, so the ingredients in them are often unknown and sometimes dangerous. In addition, because the makeup of enhancement supplements is unknown, they could interact with other medication that you\u2019re taking.<\/p>\n

The best course of action is to talk with your doctor about erectile dysfunction and find an FDA-approved medication that can treat it.<\/p>\n

3. Myth: Erectile dysfunction comes with age. <\/strong><\/p>\n

In fact, a recent study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine suggests that erectile dysfunction is more common in younger men that originally thought. Research suggests that 26 percent of men under the age of 40 deal with the condition as well.<\/p>\n
