Colleen is a registered dietitian and has been an Extension Educator at UCONN since 1993. In addition to managing Hawley, Colleen teaches undergraduate courses for the Department of Allied Health Sciences, advises students\u00a0 and works on many grant-funded projects with an emphasis on outreach program development and education.\u00a0 She is both a health care professional and educator.\u00a0 Colleen has co-authored several publications and books including \u201cOvercoming Childhood Obesity\u201d and the most recent 2nd edition of \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bullpub.com\/catalog\/fueling-the-teen-machine-2e\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fueling the Teen Machine<\/a>\u201d released this past January 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colleen Thompson <\/strong>discusses &amp; answers the following:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/FTM.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-413 alignright\" title=\"FTM\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/FTM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"322\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What motivated you to write Fueling the Teen Machine?
